Lynda Randle to help Jacobo familycelebrate Extreme Home Makeover

The Dove Award-winning artist and regular on the Bill and Gloria GaitherTour to perform at The VooDoo Lounge at Harrah’s Casino.

Gospel recording artist Lynda Randle will help the Jacobo family, KevinGreen Homes and “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” celebrate the airing of Ty Pennington and crew’s presentation of their new home on ABC.After the Jacobo family watches ABC’s nationwide airing its episode of “Extreme Makeover” from 7 to 8 p.m. CST. May 13 on the jumbo screen TV at The VooDoo Lounge at Harrah’s Casino in North Kansas City, Mo., Randle will perform for the family.

Her songs will include favorites such as “Walk With Me,” “He Will Carry You” and “On My Way On My Own.”The filming of the “Extreme Makeover” took place in March. Jesus Jacobo, 39, builds cranes for a living, and Michelle Jacobo, 38, cares for their four children and five nieces and nephews of whom they have gained custody or have adopted. A grandparent also lives with them.

Randle said she’s excited about performing for the family, who’s persevered through so much. "I am excited about getting out of the salt shaker and having an opportunity to be apart of something that is outside of the four walls of the church and to be a witness and light," Randle said.Randle tours full-time with Bill & Gloria Gaither and the Homecoming Friends and her album, “A Tribute to Mahalia Jackson” received a Dove Award in 2005 for “Traditional Gospel Album of the Year.”Randle’s other albums include “Lynda Randle Live,” “God on the Mountain,” “Hymns,” “Lynda Randle Christmas,” “Timeless,” “Timeless II,” “Soul Shower” and “A Way Through.”
